Success at the Toyota National Dream Car Contest!

Congratulations to young Olivia Onslow for winning Silver in this creative competition.

This year Olivia Onslow from Southampton (aged six) won Silver in the National Dream Car Art Contest hosted by Toyota. This competition encourages young people up to the age of 15 to open their imagination and become car inventors of the future. Olivia and her family attended the award ceremony at Burgh Heath on Friday 17th February, where she found out that she had finished a finalist. Her local Toyota Centre is Snows Hedge End where there is great pride in her achievements in coming second place with her design named the "Ice Ranger Infinity 8".

Olivia described her idea as "Innovation in motion. From desert plane to urban jungle the Ice-Ranger I8 is the ultimate travel experience. Converting the suns heat into ice power the ice ranger brings water and life to extreme territories." She definitely knows what she's talking about and a worthy winner. Rob Giles from Toyota handed out her prize, a large bag of goodies plus a Samsung Galaxy Tablet.

Phil Maddison, Group Board Director, attended the ceremony on behalf of Toyota in Hedge End. He described the day as "extremely pleasant" as guests got a look around Toyota HQ and their range of current models. There was also entertainment for the kids and their families as well as a presentation by the President and CEO of Toyota GB, Paul Van der Burgh.

The award ceremony was definitely an exciting and rewarding event for every one who took part in the 10th annual contest hosted by Toyota.
