Jacob Muldoon promises to have a bright future at Snows Toyota Plymouth

Recently, Snows Toyota Plymouth has seen a proud achievement from their Academy Apprentice, Jacob Muldoon, who has managed to sell his first ever vehicle from start to finish.


​Jacob Muldoon originally started at Snows Toyota Plymouth back in June 2016 as part of an Apprentice Programme set up by Snows Group. From there he has continued to learn, develop, progress and has now become a valuable member of the team.

The idea behind the programme is to have keen, new apprentice's touching on all areas of the business in order to identify where they stand out and also to identify where they could potentially build a career. On top of this, these individuals have course work set out for them and if they pass this they will then gain an NVQ qualification, which Jacob is well on track to pass!

Over the last six months, Jacob has noticeably grown in confidence and gained valuable skills and knowledge about the automotive industry. He is also very liked by all members of staff around the business and customers alike, by presenting himself as a very pro-active worker and having never complained about any task asked of him.

​After working in all the departments at the Snows Toyota Plymouth dealership, he discovered that car sales was the career path that he would most like to pursue. 

Mark Edmunds (Regional General Sales Manager) at Snows Toyota Plymouth explained "Jacob approached myself to ask if he could take his FCA training, at first I was concerned that for such a young person this is quite a lot of work and a lot to take in. I have had many established Sales Executive who have struggled with this training which if passed gives them the authority to legally speak to customers in regards to finance and insurance products. But Jacob passed this with flying colours!"

From starting out as an apprentice, Jacob now shadows experienced Sales Executive, Darren Copp who he has formed a strong bond with and can learn the tricks of the trade by his example. Involving taking on every task, talking to customers and helping out the rest of the team when needed. 

This fantastic training has truly proved to pay off, as on Saturday the 6th May Jacob consulted a lovely couple about what they required by asking relevant qualifying questions. After finding out the couple were very interested in purchasing a brand new Toyota Rav 4 Hybrid, which can be quite a daunting deal for such a young sales person. However, Jacob appointed them a test drive in the next few days which they managed to attend, after this session he completed the entire sales process efficiently so when it came to a close, they shook his hand and accepted his offer, including taking finance and insurance products.

For such a young individual to have conducted himself in a friendly and professional manner, just shows how much Jacob Muldoon has progressed and he is sure to have a very bright future with Toyota and Snows Group. Helping to keep up the high standard of quality customer service that Snows Toyota prides themselves on.
