A new look, a new engine, a new gearbox. There’s plenty to get excited about from the facelifted Kia Cee’d.

The 134bhp engine, meanwhile, offers the option of Kia’s new, seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It improves both fuel economy and acceleration, and sees CO2 emissions drop to 109g/km. Higher up the range, the new turbocharger in the 201bhp 1.6-litre T-GDi engine, available in the GT and the Procee'd GT, boosts acceleration and reduces emissions, cutting the 0-62mph time to just 7.6 seconds.
The Cee’d impresses for safety too and is set to arrive with all the active technology you expect. Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) will no doubt be carried over from the outgoing model to keep the car planted to the road. A sophisticated airbag system with side and curtain bags is also likely to feature.
