A sub-brand of MINI, John Cooper Works models provide that bit of extra edge to the iconic selection of vehicles, delivering a more powerful drive and bolder styling.
To classify as a MINI John Cooper Works model, each vehicle must receive an upgraded chassis and a series of aesthetic enhancements. The MINI John Cooper Works Coupe, for instance, is the fastest production MINI ever made, while the MINI John Cooper Works Convertible is made to seat four comfortably and reach a top speed of 146mph.
The MINI Countryman John Cooper Works, is based on the Countryman Cooper S A114 and benefits from a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine. It also features the company's four-wheel drive system, which divides power between the front and rear wheels for normal driving, and can be set to apply more to front or back, based upon conditions.
Other new MINI John Cooper Works models include the Clubman and the Hatch, both with twin-scroll turbochargers and sporty, bold styling.
