Unfortunately, you do not appear to be eligible to apply to join the Motability Scheme If you currently do not receive a higher rate mobility allowance you are not able to lease a vehicle on the Scheme, however if your circumstances change in the future you may become eligible. There is no upper age limit for applying, and you do not have to operate the vehicle yourself. If you are unable to drive, then you can put up to two nominated drivers on your application. Only one of those named can be under the age of 21. They should all ideally live within five miles of your address. Every nominated driver must agree to the terms and conditions of the Motability Scheme and provide their details and driving licence information when you apply.

You can also apply on the behalf of a child over three years old and receiving the higher Disability Living Allowance as outlined below. You (or a friend or family member) may be eligible for the Scheme if you (or they) are currently receiving one of the following benefits:

Please note that you must have at least 12 months of allowance payments remaining to fully qualify. It's also important to remember that the Attendance Allowance is not an eligible benefit.
