Snows are wishing Hazel Marke happy travels as she jets off on her fabulous Route 66 experience.

On 21st August 2016, Mrs. Marke became our very lucky Route 66 prize draw winner! We are now thrilled to send her off on a holiday that is definitely one to tick off of the bucket list!

Last year, Snows celebrated the new 66 Plate with some American style! On 21st August 2016, We offered both our new and existing customers the chance to take a test drive at one of our many dealerships and enter our Route 66 prize draw. We saw many contestants take part in the bid to win a luxury free holiday to America where they could explore the USA's famous Mother Road - Route 66.

Out of all of our participants, the winner was Mrs. Hazel Marke at our Snows Toyota Waterlooville dealership, after taking a test drive in her brand new Toyota Prius. Winning the prize draw came as a surprise to Mrs. Marke, who has not taken part in many competitions in the past!

Hazel Marke says how she has always had a good experience with Snows over the years, and her trusty Prius is now coming up to its first year service. Hazel bought her Prius the year that Snows acquired our WKB Toyota site in Waterlooville (as it was previously named) in the beginning of August, where she then took her test drive at the end of the month. She now loves her reliable car and has even accustomed her new Prius with a personalised number plate.

The Route 66 trip that Hazel is about to embark on has been organised and provided by Snows and the travel company, Bon Voyage. Hazel will be travelling with her daughter Joanne Marke on the 21st September 2017 as they jet off with British Airways from London Heathrow. They will then land in their first destination, Chicago, where they will be met by a soft-top vehicle to pick them up and take them to their first hotel, the Vrooman Mansion in Bloomington.

The Vrooman Mansion is a famously quaint 1920's establishment that has been turned into a glorious hotel. The history of this building resembles the old 'upstairs, downstairs' set up, where the servants and the masters lived separately. The room in which the servants used to carry all the luggage of the guests has now been turned into a modern suite named the Rose Suite, where Hazel will be staying.

The trip will involve a vast amount of attractions to discover, with a total of ten fabulous accommodations across Route 66. Just some of the unique places where Hazel and Jo will be staying along their journey are the Blue Swallow Motel, Texan Motel - an establishment that is famous for their steaks - and the unmissable Wigwam Motel. This is classic American history that promises to take you back through time.

A fabulous excursion that Mrs. Marke is particularly excited about is the Grand Canyon experience, where she will take a Jeep tour around this famous landmark. The Grand Canyon is a historic and visual National Park located in Arizona, made up of layered bands of red rock revealing millions of years of geological history. Truly something that has to be witnessed to be believed!

Mrs. Marke told us how her and Jo are both extremely excited to experience the legendary Route 66, as this is something that they have always wanted to do.​

The whole team here at Snows are looking forward to hearing all about Hazel Marke's American adventure when she returns, and learning all about her experiences and memories that she makes on this legendary road.
